West Paducah, KY 42086-0206

  • As of Sunday, October 1, 2005, Paducah once again has an official charter for an AMVETS post. We wished to honor past (Vietnam War) and present (Iraq War) veterans by naming the Post after two of our finest young men. It became the Kenneth Pease/Robert Doughty AMVETS Post 122 of Paducah.
  • We have been meeting at Ryan’s Steakhouse on Hinkleville Road across from Kentucky Oaks Mall. Our meeting location is changing to the VFW Post 1191 located at 1727 Washington Street, Paducah, KY (270-442-6783). Our first Saturday meeting will be February 4th at 1:00pm – 2:00pm. When you see a member of VFW be sure to thank them for allowing us the use of their building. It definitely has potential for us to do more events with a kitchen and hopefully, it’ll be a little quieter. As an aside, we have sent the management of Ryan’s a special thank you for allowing us the use of their meeting room these past months.
  • Come out and join us to see what we’re all about. We have guest speakers lined up for February and April’s meetings. The local commissioner of Little League baseball will be with us in February as well as a representative from the Boy Scouts. They’re planning on sharing with the Post membership the requirements and information on sponsoring a group of ball players or cub scouts. Then, in April we have a representative from the Veterans Cemetery in Hopkinsville coming to share information on the cemetery and how to obtain a burial site for self and spouse.
  • So plan on attending. Bring a veteran friend. He/She might want to join our ranks. If eligible for membership in our Post, we extend an invitation to join. We need to keep increasing our membership in order to follow through on potential plans for the post. An application and flyer are enclosed for your convenience.
  • If you have any questions, call me at the Service Office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10:00am – 3:00pm. The number is (270) 443-8803. We look forward to seeing you.
            • Sincerely,
              GREGORY A. DAVIDSON
              Post Commander
See you there! MEETING TIME: 1:00pm – 2:00pm

We need your support.  Bring a veteran friend.  Sign them up for membership.  Bring your spouse so the ladies can get the Auxiliary started.  We need an Auxiliary to back our efforts.
